Minister of Music - Bill Freeman
Bill Freeman grew up in a singing family and excelled in music in high school and college. Bill accepted Jesus as Savior at the age of 6, reponded to a call to ministry at age 13, was licensed to preach at age 17 and ordained to the gospel ministry at Red Bridge Baptist Church in 1973. Bill graduated from Missouri State University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Education as a music major. Bill taught vocal music at Camdenton High School for 5 years and 4 years at Monett High School. Bill started part time in church music ministry in Bolivar in 1961. He has continued part time in various churches until 1972 when he was employed full time at Red Bridge Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. He and his wife Maggi traveled in Music Evangelism and Concert Ministry for two years and then went back to church ministry full time at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in 1976. Other full time positions included a church in Aurora, Colorado; Rolling Hills Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. He is currently into his 7th year of part time music ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church. His three sons are also in full time music ministry. Bill's musical style is a blended with contemporary songs as well as traditional hymns.
